‘SNL’ – A New Obama Addresses the Nation

SNL began its 38th season with Jay Pharoah taking over Obama duty.

It's about time Pharoah got to play someone besides Will Smith or Denzel Washington! It's definitely something of a promotion to go from movie stars to President of the United States.

His voice and gestures really expose the cracks in Fred Armisen's impersonation. Did Armisen even try? Ah well. With the 2012 election coming up, we look forward to more Pharoah presidential throat clears, pauses, and Sasha and Malia mentions.
