Zac Efron Addresses ‘Condom on the Red Carpet-Gate’
Rubbergate has been solved. During an interview with Matt Lauer, Zac Efron sheepishly confessed to dropping a condom as he walked the red carpet for his upcoming kids movie 'Dr. Seuss' The Lorax.'
A video of the 24 -year-old unleashing what appeared to be a condom as he pulled his hand out of his pocket circulated the internet least week. Since the video was fairly grainy, there was much speculation on whether or not it was actually a rubber.
While Efron declined to take Lauer through exactly what happened, he did have this to say:
I never really had a pocket-checking policy prior to going on the red carpet before, but now we fully instated one."
Now that the condom is officially out of the pocket, so to speak, Efron tried to put a positive spin the incident, explaining that safe sex is "a great message to add to the many messages of [the film]."
Hmm, since we don't think condoms are remotely biodegradable, we're thinking The Lorax probably has some mixed feelings about that.
