It might seem at first like the image below has been altered in Photoshop, but this lizard really does look like everyone's favorite Web-Slinger. Er, is this your friendly neighborhood Spider-Lizard?

This Mwanza Flat Headed Agama, which is native to Africa, was photographed by Cassio Lopes while on a trip to the Masai Mara National Park in Kenya. And with its bright red torso and blue legs, the lizard looks uncannily similar to Spidey himself.

Lopes spotted the lizard sunning itself on a rock and managed to snap a photograph before it quickly darted away. "It was the first time we saw that kind of lizard despite our previous visits in Africa," he said. "We were mesmerized by the colorful pattern and had never seen anything like it before."

This photo has surfaced only days before 'The Amazing Spider-Man' hits theaters. Also bear in mind that Spidey's nemesis in the film will be none other than Curt Connors, AKA the Lizard. Coincidence? You be the judge.
