Anyone who doubts the connection between animals and man, we'd like to offer the following video up as compelling evidence to the contrary. In this amazing clip, watch as Michael Fishbach, co-founder of The Great Whale Conservancy, spots a young female humpback whale tangled up in a fishing line.

After assessing the condition of the whale and being told they would need to wait up to an hour for help, Fishbach and his colleagues took it upon themselves to cut the giant mammal free. What follows is nothing short of magnificent.

According to the narration, nearly an hour of untangling and one exhausted crew later, the group was treated to an exciting display of breaches, tail and fin slaps. A child can be heard off camera saying, "she's showing us that she's all free" and we're inclined to agree. Nice work, fellas!
