Samsung’s 2012 Super Bowl Commercial Pokes Fun at Apple Users, Resurrects Rockers The Darkness [VIDEO]
In a Super Bowl commercial for the Galaxy Note, Samsung poked fun at Apple users and simultaneously resurrected British glam rockers The Darkness. It's a wonderfully random ad, the likes of which you really only see during the Super Bowl's commercial bonanza.
As a group of depressed-looking people wait on line outside a store that looks suspiciously like an Apple store, a man using the Galaxy Note smartphone/tablet hybrid saunters by, immediately drawing their attention.
Suddenly, singer/guitarist Justin Hawkins of The Darkness appears and begins to belt out his tune 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love.' Naturally, the former Apple users find themselves liberated by the Samsung product. Oh, and did we mention there's a human cannonball too?
