As you may have heard from your weird aunt who likes to overshare, 'Sons of Anarchy' star Charlie Hunnam has recently been cast opposite 'The Social Network's' Dakota Johnson in the big screen adaptation of the raunchy bestseller 'Fifty Shades of Grey.'

Of course, this news was met with all sorts of uproar from the internet. Turns out fans had their own ideas of who should play Anastasia Steele and the dashing billionaire who introduces her to the world of S&M. (It's like the movie 'Secretary,' only with 100% less James Spader awesomeness.)

Turns out there were a lot of other actors who were up for the roles of Anastasia and Christian Grey. Here are a few 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie posters that you'll never get to see.

The Gos was 'Fifty Shades of Grey' author E.L. James' top choice for the role of Christian, but he passed. She also wanted rising star Shailene Woodley as Anastasia, but the actress had promotional commitments to her upcoming sci-fi flick 'Divergent.'

The awesomely named Imogen Poots was also a contender for the Anastasia part. Meanwhile, Universal reportedly courted 'Tron: Legacy' star Garrett Hedlund, but he claimed he couldn't connect with the role. (Or maybe he was afraid of the rabid fanbase. We'll never know.)

Yep, an Olsen sister was almost cast in 'Fifty Shades of Grey.' Thankfully it was the one with all the talent.

Admittedly, we aren't familiar with 'Magic City' star Christian Cooke, but he looks appropriately hunky so it's no wonder that he was considered to play Christian. Meanwhile, exotic beauty Alicia Vikander ('Anna Karenina') was on the list of possible Anastasias.

Matt Bomer Alexis Bledel 50 Shades of Grey

Finally, a fan petition lobbied for 'White Collar' hunk Matt Bomer and former 'Gilmore Girls' star Alexis Bledel as the leads. Perhaps it was Bledel's turn from innocent Rory to her racy role on 'Mad Men' that inspired readers to want her as Anastasia. As for Bomer...come on. Anyone who saw 'Magic Mike' knows that The Bomer gives the ladies the vapors.
