A Massachusetts fishing crew caught the mother of all fish when it snagged a massive 881-pound bluefin tuna in its net more than a week ago. But, alas, the fish "got away" when it was seized by federal officials since it had not been legally caught using hand-held gear.

The captain of the boat, Carlos Rafael, expected to earn as much as $500,000 for the creature on the international fish market. But government agents seized the fish instead and it was sold domestically for only $5,000.
