Legendary blues singer Etta James passed away today in a California hospital due to complications from leukemia, according to her longtime manager Lupe De Leon. She was 73-years-old.

James, whose signature song 'At Last' is a wedding staple, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010 and also suffered from dementia and hepatitis C. She passed with her husband, Artis Mills, and sons by her side, said De Leon.

In 2009, James gained notoriety for heavily criticizing Beyonce after she performed 'At Last' at President Barack Obama's inaugural ball. Later, James' son dismissed her comments as dementia-related.
