Who Won ‘Dancing With the Stars’ 2011? [VIDEO]

Actor and motivational speaker J.R. Martinez was crowned the Mirrorball winner of 'Dancing With the Stars' this week in what is being called one of the closest competitions in the show's history.

Martinez and partner Karina Smirnoff took the Mirrorball trophy after performing a rousing freestyle dance that got the crowd to its feet on Tuesday night's show. The competition was fierce, with finalists Rob Kardashian and Ricki Lake also earning their share of fans.

In addition to being a performer and public speaker, Martinez is also an Iraq war vet, and survived an IED explosion that burned 40% of his body. This is the first win for his partner Karina Smirnoff as well.
