The full-length trailer for 'The Amazing Spider-Man' hit the Web, offering a sneak peek at one of summer 2012's most-anticipated blockbusters.

Part of what makes 'The Amazing Spider-Man' such a fascinating film is that it is a complete reboot of an extraordinary successful franchise that was last seen a mere five years ago. So inevitably, Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker/Spider-Man will be compared to Tobey Maguire's version of the webslinger.

In the trailer for 'The Amazing Spider-Man', Garfield channels the same reserved intensity that Maguire rode to more than two billion dollars in box office earnings, although with perhaps more of a sense of humor. The British actor does clearly have the sleeker Spidey suit.

The trailer also provides a generous look at Emma Stone -- blonde and banged -- who plays Gwen Stacy, Parker's love interest. While there is no upside-down kiss, we do get a glimpse into the chemistry between Stone and Garfield, which reportedly flourished into off-screen romance.

Dennis Leary's role as Stacy's father -- a cop trying to hunt down Spider-Man -- looks to be pretty central to the movie, and we get a couple quick shots of Rhys Ifans' villainous Lizard.

'The Amazing Spider-Man' hits theaters on July 3. Has this trailer made you even more excited for the much-anticipated film?
