‘Movie Mimic’ Recreates Famous Movies Scenes All Around the World
Two things quickly become apparent when browsing through Allen Fuqua's Movie Mimic Tumblr. The first is that Fuqua is very well-traveled, and the second is that he is a serious movie fan.
Fuqua keeps himself busy during his globetrotting by recreating movie scenes all over the world. Sometimes Fuqua is the star of the photos and sometimes they feature other people. But no matter who is in front or behind the camera, the shots display painstaking attention to the original scene. (Such as the moment from 'Love, Actually' recreated above.)
"I love films. I love traveling. I mimic films when I travel," is Faqua's simple motto. We've compiled some our favorite of his mimicry below.
'Vicky Cristina Barcelona,' Barcelona, Spain
'The Talented Mr. Ripley,' St. Mark’s Square, Venice, Italy
'Drive,' MacArthur Park, Los Angeles, California
'Lost in Translation,' Tokyo, Japan
'Fast Times At Ridgemont High,' Van Nuys, California
'Midnight in Paris,' Paris, France
'Top Gun,' San Diego, California
