Ben & Jerry’s Launches ’30 Rock’-Themed Liz Lemon Frozen Yogurt
Last night was the series finale for '30 Rock.' Of course the sitcom will live on in reruns. And fans will also be able to continue to get a taste of the show with Ben & Jerry's latest offering, Liz Lemon Greek Frozen Yogurt with a Blueberry Lavender Swirl.
The new flavor was announced by Ben & Jerry's co-founder Jerry Greenfield at a party the ice cream company threw for the NBC sitcom, which is being retired after seven seasons and ten Emmy's.
Although this is the first time Ben & Jerry's officially recognized '30 Rock' with a flavor, Alec Baldwin, one of the show's stars, was so honored in 2011 with his very own "Schweddy Balls" ice cream based on a line from a popular 'SNL' sketch the actor appeared in.
Liz Lemon Greek Frozen Yogurt with a Blueberry Lavender Swirl while be available in Ben & Jerry's scoop shops within the next few weeks. Not long after that it should be in frozen sections around the nation.
We guess something lemon-flavored was inevitable, given Tina Fey's creation's last name. But we're not sure "healthy" frozen yogurt should have be chosen to represent a character who was always upfront with her love of junk food.
