In Hanoi, Vietnam, a tenacious traffic cop clung onto the windshield of a speeding bus after its driver refused to show his paperwork. Wow! When this cop tries to issue a ticket, he really means it.

Last week, Second Lt. Nguyen Manh Phan pulled over a passenger bus and asked its driver, Phung Hong Phuong, to present his papers. But Phuong refused to do so and attempted to drive off. Undeterred, Phan threw himself onto the front of the bus and hung on for dear life as it drove for more than half a mile at speeds up to 31 MPH. Is this guy a real-life action hero or what?

Eventually, Phuong came to a stop after being pursued by other traffic cops and bystanders. He allegedly fled the scene because he was afraid of being fined. Later, he admitted to previously serving a four-year stint in prison for fatally running someone over. Guess he hasn't quite learned his lesson yet.

Phuong was arrested and charged with acting against public officials, an offense that could earn him a maximum three-year prison sentence.
