Vanilla Ice Resurrects “Go Ninja, Go” for Mac & Cheese
It's been years since the magical words "go ninja, go" have been uttered, but Vanilla Ice has given them new life in a Kraft Macaroni and Cheese commercial.
You might recall Vanilla Ice singing this little ditty in the 1991 film, 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze,' during one of the movie's most climactic scenes. Now, in honor of TMNT-shaped pieces of macaroni in Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, Ice has taken to singing it again.
In the video above, we can see Vanilla Ice working at a grocery store, stocking the shelves with an impressive amount of TMNT mac and cheese. A mother and her son, toting around a cart, come up to him, presumably to grab the product on the shelf. The mother seems a little more than starstruck to see Vanilla Ice at her local grocery store and starts to sing along with him.
Before too long, both Vanilla Ice and the mother are chanting "go ninja, go" while pulling off their best dance moves, much to the chagrin of the son. Ice smiles and says, "Word to your mother." The son rolls his eyes, places the box of mac and cheese in the cart and rolls away, still slightly embarrassed.
Sing along with the video above and channel your inner ninja -- or turtle. And if you're feeling up to it, copy Vanilla Ice's dance moves at your own grocery store!
