With all of their members on the wrong side of 35, it's a bit weird to still think of the Spice Girls as girls. But the fab fivesome proved they still had some "spice" left during their performance at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics Sunday.

The band that took 1996 by storm did a medley of their biggest hits -- 'Wannabe' and 'Spice Up Your Life' -- in front of 80,000 fans in London's Olympic Stadium. Up to 300 million also viewed the event on TV.

The reunited pop group were part of a bill that included The Who, boy band extraordinaire One Direction, Ray Davies of The Kinks, Liam Gallagher, George Michael, Madness, The Kaiser Chiefs, Fatboy Slim, The Pet Shop Boys and Taio Cruz, among others.

But it was the Spice Girls that everybody was talking about Monday morning. Melanie Chisholm ("Sporty Spice"), Emma Bunton ("Baby Spice"), Melanie Brown ("Scary Spice"), Victoria Beckham ("Posh Spice"), and Geri Halliwell (“Ginger Spice”) entered the stadium in multi-colored taxis and immediately had the crowd moving when they started belting out their once-ubiquitous tunes.

It was the first time the group had performed together since their reunion tour in 2008. As of now, there are no plans for further shows. Check out some photos of the Spice Girls from the cermony below.
