Watch Heartwarming Moment Special Needs Student Learns She Got Into College
Finding out you've gotten accepted to college is one of the great parts of being a teenager, no matter who you are.
Rachel Grace, a student from Lansdale, Pa., with Down syndrome, recently got accepted into the Career Independent Living and Learning Studies program at East Stroudsburg University.
The moment was captured on video and will warm your soul.
Rachel, 20, who also worked as the manager of her high school girls' basketball team, was rightfully thrilled with the news and said later, "It was just cool."
The school's dean said he was amazed by all the hoopla Rachel's video has generated. "Of course, it just melts your heart when you see a student reading the acceptance letter, but at that moment, I didn't realize that over a half a million other people had also saw the video,” he said.
