See the Kids of ‘The Mighty Ducks’ Then and Now
The 1992 movie 'The Mighty Ducks' not only spawned two theatrical sequels and an animated TV series, but when the Disney-owned Anaheim franchise joined the NHL in 1993, they were named the Mighty Ducks in honor of the film. Take that, 'Big Green.'
'The Mighty Ducks' starred Emilio Estevez as a lawyer who is sentenced to coach a youth hockey team after being convicted of drunk driving. Because you need a lot of players to fill a hockey roster, the film's cast featured a metric butt-ton of young actors. See what they're up to these days now.
Joshua Jackson, Charlie Conway
Then: In ‘The Mighty Ducks,’ Jackson played Charlie Conway, the leader and heart of the team. It was the first big movie role for the Canadian 12-year-old, who is best-known as Pacey on ‘Dawson’s Creek.’
Now: For the last five years, Jackson has starred on ‘Fringe.’ In 2012, the 35-year-old was also part of the ‘Lay the Favorites’ ensemble cast. He’s been in a relationship with actress Diane Kruger since 2006.
