It's that special time of year when each of us takes stock of our relationship to dear old dad and shops for the appropriate necktie to give him on Father's Day. To make this gift extra-personal, it's customary to include a thoughtful note, telling your dad what makes him special.

Writing notes to our own dads made us wonder what the sons and daughter of film and television characters would be sending to their own pops on Father's Day. What might a young Bruce Wayne say to his late father? Or what could little Sally Draper possibly say to cheer up dreary Daddy Don? The important thing is they meant well.
