The peppy lads in the scorching hot British boy band One Direction were all around five when the last episode of 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' aired.

But they've clearly been exposed to the sitcom's famous theme song, and like anyone who's heard the infectious tune they can't get it out of their heads.

In fact, according to band member Louis Tomlinson, they've been performing the rhythmic rap since the beginning of One Direction.

When we first ... were doing live gigs, if any of the mics packed in and if any of the music packed in or failed, we decided that was going to be our get out. We’d just start doing ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ so then we decided to pull it out at a couple of the gigs.”

During a recent appearance on NovaFM in Australia, the group did a version of the theme in studio.

The boys seemed surprisingly nervous to perform the catchy theme at first, given that they'd performed it so many times before. But once they started in it all went smoothly and suddenly five lads from England were in Australia singing about West Philadelphia. It's a small world after all.
