104-Year-Old Granny Is World’s Oldest Paraglider
Peggy McAlpine (yes, high altitude is in her name) first set the Guinness World Record for oldest paraglider five years ago when she was just 99-years-old. But earlier this year, 101-year-old American Mary Allen Hardison broke that record. So was McAlpine, now 104, going to let that slide? No.
The British centenarian decided to suit up once again and reclaimed her title by jumping off a 2,400 ft. cliff in Cyprus. The paraglider McAlpine was paired up with even carried a steadicam with him to record footage from way above the ground. Watch the thrilling video below.
After successfully completing the ride, McAlpine told reporters she'll gladly do it again if somebody decided to challenge her new record. Quite the thrillseeker! Despite her caretakers' wishes, no one's keeping this grandma on the ground.
