Maine Couple Sweeps Second North American Wife Carrying Championship [VIDEO]
Rocco Andreozzi and and his girlfriend Kim Wasko, both of Portland, ME, beat out 46 other couples to win the North American Wife Carrying Championship for their second straight year.
With Wasko hanging upside down from Andreozzi's shoulders, the pair completed the obstacle course in 49.64 seconds, shaving an impressive 12.27 seconds off their score from the year before.
For winning the event, which is also open to non-married couples, they took home Wasko's weight in beer (nine cases) and five times her weight in cash ($620). The duo also qualifies for the World Wife Carrying Championship in Finland later this year.
Watch their winning run -- and some relationship testing tumbles from the other competitors -- in the video below.
