Nail Polish Remover Melts Styrofoam Cups With Super Creepy Ease
Why is this so darned captivating to watch?
People destroying stuff on the internet is almost as popular as the internet itself -- heck, there's a whole channel devoted to it -- but there's something about this clip that's especially addicting.
Styrofoam cups meet their maker in this video when they are placed in a pool of acetone, a compound found in nail polish remover. It's the ol' "car crash on the side of the road" principle at work because you simply can't stop yourself from looking.
The acetone devours the cups like a drowning man does air after rising to the surface and proves that if more experiments were like this we would have paid a lot more attention in science class.
