Medieval Enthusiast Charged With Child Abuse for Forcing Daughter to Swordfight [VIDEO]

A Washington State man faces child abuse charges after using a (literal) medieval parenting technique on his stepdaughter, MSNBC reports.

On Saturday, Fremon Seay allegedly forced his 16-year-old stepdaughter to duel him with a wooden sword as a form of punishment. The battle reportedly dragged on for two hours until the girl collapsed from exhaustion.

Seay's defense? He assumed that, given his stepdaughter's age, she was old enough to wield a blade in battle. Funny, we didn't realize there was a legal age limit for swordplay. Watch the story below.
