Impatient Crayola Has Unveiled the Color Crayon It’s Retiring
The world is a little less colorful today.
Crayola has announced that it will discontinue the dandelion-colored crayon from its 24-count box.
The famed company had previously announced it would make the big reveal on Friday.
While dandelion clears out its desk at Crayola world headquarters, accepts a Rolex for all its hard work, hits a local watering hole for a retirement party that gets so wild even Sharpies will be talking about it and plots its move to Florida where it can acclimate to a life of shuffleboard and early bird dinner specials, Crayola is busy milking these colorful developments. On Friday -- which, not so coincidentally is National Crayon Day -- it will share what color will take dandelion's place in a livestream event.
It's like a baseball player getting called up to the big leagues, so whatever it is, we hope it's ready to be in the limelight. Or, in this case, a 24-count box.
