Suspicious (And Delicious) Cupcake Prompts TSA Confiscation
The Transportation Safety Administration showed their support for airport security in Massachusetts who detained a tasty-looking cupcake. Homeland security -- protecting you from terrorists and calories.
Rebecca Hains of Peabody, Mass. tried to board a plane with a cupcake in a jar, but security officials considered the luscious icing to exceed the allowable gel limit in carry-on luggage.
TSA confiscated the tempting morsel before allowing Mrs. Hains to board the plane. Hains called it "terrible logic," but the TSA said the abnormal cupcake in a jar prompted the seizure.
I wanted to make it clear that this wasn’t your everyday, run-of-the-mill cupcake," wrote TSA spokesman Bob Burns.
Does this mean TSA officials are "pastry-profiling"? If so, the "Cake Boss" is in big trouble.
