Can You Balance a Pencil for More Than 1 Second?

Here's one for all the people out there who either have nothing to do or are just bored out of their skulls.

This video breaks down the science about why it's so hard to balance a pencil. Yes, important stuff, we know.

We won't try to explain the physics behind it because we're about as far from knowledgeable about physics as we are from going a day without seeing an Ice Bucket Challenge video. We'll just say that, apparently, the shorter the pencil the more difficult the challenge.

Suffice to say balancing a pencil ain't too easy.
