New ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Trailer Exposes Peter Parker’s Troubled Past
With 'The Avengers' dropping today and 'The Dark Knight Rises' looming over the entire summer movie season, a new 'The Amazing Spider-Man' trailer has just hit the internet.
'Spider-Man' is perhaps the toughest sell among the three would-be superhero blockbusters because it is a reboot of a recent series of beloved films. (Well, the first two were beloved anyway.)
The movie's third trailer deals with any perceived repetition by positioning 'The Amazing Spider-man' as "the untold story." Check it out below.
In the clip, we get a lot information about Peter Paker's (Andrew Garfield) parental issues, stemming from a childhood spent in a orphanage. We also get a look at Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) becoming The Lizard, and then wrecking havoc.
In what is probably the most memorable part of the trailer, Spidey sarcastically mocks a car thief for coming at him with a small knife. (Crocodile Dundee approves of this knife-shaming technique.)
So what do you think? Is 'The Amazing Spider-Man' at or near the top of your "must see" summer movie list?
