Album Cover Models Then and Now – Vampire Weekend, ‘Contra’
Then: Vampire Weekend found this old Polaroid from 1983 in the possession of photographer Tom Brody.
The girl pictured is Ann Kirsten Kennis who was modeling professionally at the time and later appeared in multiple advertisements including L’Oréal Avantage hair-color lotion.
Vampire Weekend loved the image of the girl in the yellow polo and used it for the cover of their album ‘Contra.’
