In an attempt to catch thieving siblings, 12-year-old Hallie Pritchard set up a hidden webcam and trained it on her bedroom door. But the young girl's trap caught something very different indeed. Instead, she got video of a real burglar stealing things from her room.

Forty-six-year-old Douglas John Calandrella allegedly entered the family's California home during an open house and stuffed his pockets with a diamond bracelet, diamond necklace and cash found in Pritchard's room.

But now, thanks to the tech-savvy tween, Calandrella, a former real estate agent with a history of stealing from open houses, is now being held without bail in a local county jail.
