Then: Bedard, who is part Inuit, was not only the speaking voice of Disney's Pocahontas, she was also the physical model on which the character's design was based. Now: Several years after reprising her role in the straight-to-video release 'Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World,' Bedard went on to play Pocahontas' mother in Terrence Malick's live-action drama 'The New World.'
