Will Ferrell Accepts Mark Twain Comedy Award, Then Drops It [VIDEOS]
A lot of famous funny people have received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and this year Will Ferrell took home the award. The actor joins the ranks of Richard Pryor, Whoopi Goldberg and Tina Fey, who have all been honored with the award since its inception in 1998.
Of course, because it's Will Ferrell, the ceremony couldn't go off without something happening.
Ferrell seemed thrilled to be honored with such a prestigious award... that is, until the moment he dropped it on the stage, shattering it into bits. Let's hope this was a fake trophy and not the real thing.
In addition, the people over at Funny or Die put together a tribute video to the comedian featuring celebs like Larry David, Amy Poehler, Sarah Silverman and Zack Galafianakis. They're all happy about the "personal" letter they got from Ferrell.
Well, everyone except David. He's never happy about anything.
