Reporter Hit By Foul Ball At World Series
It seems that investigative journalism is no longer the most dangerous form of newscasting. It's time we add sports journalism to the list, because covering baseball just got dangerous!
While commenting on the World Series between the Tigers and Giants, reporter Ian Mendes was between live camera spots when suddenly he was hit in the leg by a foul ball. And since time left him no chance to truly dwell on the pain, Mendes leapt up once his live light shined and continued on with his report with aplomb.
We have to hand it to him, the guy is a total professional. Getting beamed by a baseball is no easy thing to shrug off, but Mendes proves the show must go on.
