Pit Bull Wins ‘Neighbor of the Year’ Award For Saving Owner’s Life After Aneurysm [VIDEO]
One morning in July, John Benton's pit bull Titan began acting strange, and wouldn't let Benton leave the house to go to work.
Benton eventually followed the pooch's lead to his upstairs bedroom where he found his wife Gloria, who had just suffered a brain aneurysm, laying on the floor and bleeding from a fractured skull. If John hadn't discovered Gloria before leaving for work, she would have most likely bleed to death.
To honor Titan's quick thinking, the Lawrenceville Ga.-area neighborhood in which the Bentons live has just given Titan their annual 'Neighbor of the Year' award, marking the first time a non-human resident grabbed the price. Learn more about Titan and his well-earned honor below.
