Michelle Obama is officially Tweeting. While she may not have her own personal Twitter account yet, the First Lady sent out her first tweet on Wednesday night as part of her Joining Forces agenda.

The patriotic Tweet read:

Military families serve our nation too. Let's all show our appreciation by #JoiningForces with them. Get involved: http://JoiningForces.gov –mo

(The "mo" at the end was a shorthand signature for Michelle Obama, of course.) Okay, not exactly on the level of Twitter giants like Ashton Kutcher or Courtney Stodden. But it's a start.

The tweet was sent before Game One of the World Series, and was part of a joint effort between Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, Vice-President Joe Biden's wife, to promote the first lady's initiative to help military families. (It took two people to compose that Tweet? You're going to have to be faster if you want to compete with the Twitterati, ladies.)

It's only a matter of time before the FLOTUS starts participating in hashtags. Watch Michelle Obama enter the Tweet-o-sphere below.
