After directing 'The Avengers,' which stands as the third highest-grossing movie of all-time, Joss Whedon can do whatever he wants. And apparently what he wants to do is fight a one-eyed, milkman-killing monster in a video that comes from the imagination of a five-year-old named Brett.

It's all part of the first episode of 'Written by a Kid,' a web series from Felicia Day's Geek & Sundry YouTube channel. Check out 'Scary Smash,' which also features Dave Foley and Kate Micucci, below.

In the video, Whedon plays the leader of the S.Q.U.A.T team which is called in to fight the beast. At first we thought S.Q.U.A.T was a malapropism for S.W.A.T but since Whedon's character also leads his charges in fitness instruction maybe Brett is more clever than we first gave him credit.

It takes seven days, but Whedon is eventually able to defeat the monster using an arsenal which includes shields, knives and guns. Now he is free to direct his next blockbuster. As for Brett, we think he might have a future in the movies too.
