Helmet Cam Captures Dramatic Avalanche Rescue [VIDEO]

On Sunday, a man on a snowmobile expedition was trapped in an avalanche on Stampede Pass in Washington state's Cascade Range mountains. Luckily, his friends were on hand to dig him out, and the entire dramatic rescue was caught on helmet cam.

Snowmobiler John Swanson narrowly avoided suffocation due to the heroic efforts of his rescuers. He sustained no injury thanks to protective gear and is currently recuperating at home.
