Witness the demise of a pricey $2,400 digital camera as it's wiped out by a powerful wave at Cannon Beach in Oregon. Doh! Should have sprung for a waterproof case.

According to artist and photographer Kurtis Hough, he was filming the surf with his expensive Canon 5D Mark II in September when a wave broke on the beach and destroyed the camera. Lesson learned: Always opt for an extended warranty.
