Deepak Chopra has written over 60 books, mostly about the importance of connecting one's spirit to the body and mind, and he often speaks about how ridding oneself of negative emotions can lead to better health and wellbeing.

And on Tuesday, Chopra used his Twitter account to blow off a little of that negative steam when one of his 613,000 followers, @Expatina, rebutted a couple of his many daily nuggets of wisdom.

It began when @Expatina retweeted those little affirmations and added her own snarky comments:

Chopra's response? A very succinct "Shut up." The tweet has since been deleted, but here's a screenshot:

Chopra's outburst was retweeted hundreds of times, but when some people later questioned its appropriateness, the normally zen-like author replied to one detractor the way many of us would:

That tweet has also since been deleted, but that's a shame. Sometimes its nice to know even the most tranquil among us have inherently human moments.
