Creepy Puppet Teaches the Letter M

We all had to learn our ABCs at some point, and educational television has worked hard to make picking up language easy to do. Sometimes, though, they miss cute and go straight for creepy.

This puppet is from a show called "Peppermint Park". It's so obscure, and apparently deservedly so, that it doesn't have a page on Wikipedia. It seems to have been a video series released in the mid-1980s that pretty much ceased to exist right after it came out. But that's why we have YouTube, to keep us terrified of puppets.

We wonder if they had just sunk too much of their own money into this and had to release it. Either that or they just had no understanding of just how disturbing this stuff is.
