The lack of originality in Hollywood is a common complaint these days, and rightly so -- we can't go a week without hearing a new reboot, remake, or sequel. But outside of film buff circles where the name Drew Struzan means something, you don't usually hear people pointing out the lack of originality in movie posters.

That might change thanks to a recent post at the lovable entertainment muckraking site Oh No They Didn't, where they've painstakingly pointed out 13 constantly recurring poster trends -- and identified what they say about their movies. Check out a few movie poster trends below.
