Fred Jones and Paul Marino, collectively known as the acting duo Popeye & Cloudy, have been performing scenes from Shakespeare's plays for New York City subway passengers since January.

When the two started their form of underground theater,w they did it for the thrill of the performance and the love of the Bard but they have since begun to accept tips. They say their show is generally well-received, but concede the crowds get a bit rough on weekend when the clock starts to approach midnight.

“Drunk people start doing strange things when Shakespeare starts occurring right at their feet,” Jones explained.

Check out the duo doing their thing in this medley, which also includes a rendition of the classic Abbott & Costello skit 'Who's on First.' The onlookers in this clip look surprisingly unphased, but then again, it's New York City.
