Wheelchair-Bound High Schooler Scores Touchdown in Final Game [VIDEO]

Trent Glaze

Ohio high school senior Trent Glaze hasn’t let muscular dystrophy stop him from being Fairfield Union High’s homecoming king and football team captain.

But since Glaze is bound to a wheelchair he also hadn’t been able to get on the football field during his three year varsity career, instead contributing to the team by analyzing tape and assisting the coaching staff with other duties.

That all changed in his final game.

With the crowd chanting his name, Glaze rolled onto the field in full uniform, took a hand off from the quarterback, and then — with an assist from Fairfield’s opponent — scored a touchdown on a power sweep. Watch the touching score, and hear Trent and his very proud coach talk about the big moment below.
