US Olympic Swim Team Joins the ‘Call Me Maybe’ Lip-Dub Train

U.S Olympic Swim Team Covers 'Call Me Maybe'

Since the summer is half over, there’s hope that we’ll never have to hear Carly Rae Jepsen’s ubiquitous hit ‘Call Me Maybe’ ever again. But before that happens, you’ll have to endure the US Olympic swim team’s cover of the monster pop phenomenon. Can you ever forgive us?

To date, there have been more covers, mash-ups and memes inspired by Jepsen’s song than we can count. Our personal fave, though, has to be the awesome cover performed by the cast of ‘Star Wars.’

Given that, it makes sense that Team USA would jump on the bandwagon. Defending Olympic champion Michael Phelps, teammate (and main competitor) Ryan Lochte and young upstart Missy Franklin are just a few of the swimmers who lip-sync along to Jepsen’s song.

What do you think? Has lip-syncing to Jepsen’s song run its course?
