It's been exactly a month since Tommy Jordan took his .45 to his daughter's laptop, creating a viral video sensation.

Jordan was angry that his daughter had posted profanity-laden comments on her Facebook page about having to do housework, and his extreme reaction touched off an intense discussion of parenting methods. Jordan, along with his wife and his daughter Hannah Maria, sat down with Matt Lauer on 'Today' to discuss the incident.

Jordan was quick to point out that 73% of people agreed with his reaction in the poll 'Today' had done of their viewers. But while he said he ultimately stands behind his action, he did hint that he may have been better off handling things differently when Lauer asked him if maybe it would've been better to keep the punishment in the family. Jordan said of posting the video of his .45 caliber justice on the Web:

Possibly, in hindsight, considering all the CPS (Child Protective Services) and DSS (Department of Social Services) involvement and that sort of stuff. Maybe that was the right thing to do. However I can’t change that. I did what I did, I stood behind it and I still do.”

Jordan also went out of his way to stress Hannah Maria is a "great daughter" despite her now famous transgression. But when Lauer asked Jordan if Hanna Maria was still grounded, his answer was quick and succinct. "Oh yeah," he said without a moment's hesitation.
