Ever since he filmed himself shooting his daughter's laptop with a .45 handgun, opinions have been sharply divided over Tommy Jordan's brand of extreme parenting. In fact, someone who disagrees with his methods called police to his North Carolina home. But instead of arresting him, cops offered their thanks.

Jordan, who shot the laptop after discovering a profanity-laced rant from his daughter complaining about housework, said in a Facebook post that police have shown the video to their own children and even screened it for students. "How's about those apples? Didn't expect THAT when you called the cops did you?," he wrote.

While Jordan admits that he's made "bad parenting decisions" before, he doesn't necessarily think the video was one of them. "If I had it to do again...let's see...I'd do it almost the same," he wrote.
