We knew to prepare for some emotional manipulation when this 2013 Super Bowl Jeep ad started with a quote from Oprah. Unlike many other advertisers, who prepared the ground for their commercials with teasers and campaigns, Chrysler was very closed-mouthed about their Super Bowl production. After previous offerings, this one might fall a bit flat.

The ad focuses on soldiers and the sort of welcome they can expect when they return home and the difficulties families face when one of them is in the military. All very touching stuff, but we're not so sure using those feelings to boost sales is in keeping with the spirit the ad is trying to evoke. But that's just us. What do you think?
