This video is just the right amount of heartwarming and sad. Some men who were out boating in Alaska came across a pod of killer whales. Then things got dramatic when a mother sea otter and her pup made the scene and were hunted by the whales.

When we last checked in with Nellie the Sea Otter, she was diligently stacking cups. After watching her unusual skill we declared that she would be the perfect pet because she was adorable and could help out around the kitchen. But that's not all Nellie can do. It turns out the precocious sea mammal can also talk.

Did you know sea otters can be trained? Well they can, and this pup at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington has quite the trick up her furry sleeve.

Kids love the zoo, and when moments like this occur, it makes a visit all the more special. In this cute video, a young girl suddenly becomes the center of attention for all the otters at the Philadelphia Zoo. And so she plays with them.

Cute baby animal alert! Last month, an orphaned 10-week-old southern sea otter was found stranded near Cayucos, California. Fortunately for the adorable young pup, she was taken to Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and is currently receiving 24-hour care.
