Then: Costa was an emerging singer and actress who had appeared on television, radio and in films like the comedy 'Marry Me Again,' and the crime drama 'The Big Caper,' before she landed the speaking and singing role of Aurora in 'Sleeping Beauty.'

Now: 'Sleeping Beauty' launched her career to new heights, and she went on to become a professional opera singer. Her last screen role was in 2000's 'Titus Andronicus,' but Costa, now in her eighties, is still active and still collecting honors. In 2007, she was inducted into the Knoxville Opera Hall of Fame, and just last year was the commencement speaker at Pellissippi State Community College's graduation ceremony.
