Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard Split — Watch Them Perform Together

It is with a heavy heart worn directly on our sleeve that we report that actress Zooey Deschanel ('The New Girl') and Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard have separated after two years of marriage. That sound you hear is every hipster wiping the tears off of their Elvis Costello glasses.

The fact that the news comes so soon on the heels of the Kim Kardashian/Kris Humphries split is making many question whether true love actually exists. Thankfully, we have video proof that Ben and Zooey were very much in love once after the jump.

In the concert footage below shot last year, Zooey and Ben perform a sweet duet on the song 'I'll Never Find Another You.'
