Woman Gets Engaged Immediately After Hearing for First Time

It’s hard to say what the biggest news of the day was for Andrea Diaz.
Diaz got engaged after she received a cochlear implant University of Mississippi Medical Center to help her hear.
After an audiologist worked with Diaz to check the volume levels, Diaz’s boyfriend, Kevin Peakman, made the day even more memorable when he popped the question:
Well baby, I wanted to make one of the first things you hear because I love you so much and you’re my best friend baby. I wanted to make the first thing you hear was me asking you to marry me.”
Without any hesitation, Diaz said “yes,” as the audiologist and her mother watched while they hugged and Peakman slid the ring on her finger. The tears flowed fast and furious for Diaz, who said, “So much is going on.” That’s putting it mildly.
Congrats to the happy couple, who may very well have the best proposal story around.
